Beginning with its ancient Egyptian origins and moving through a concise historical timeline of the Western tradition, Robert will illuminate the core philosophical and operative principles that form the heart of the Work. From there, the lecture turns hands-on, introducing the foundations of spagyric practice with a practical demonstration drawn from the herbal kingdom, offering guidance on how to begin setting up your own home alchemical laboratory. The evening concludes with trusted sources, recommended writings, and pathways for continued study equipping both the curious newcomer and the seasoned practitioner with knowledge, inspiration, and practical tools to carry the flame forward.  **After the lecture Robert will have books and spagyrics available for purchase. BIO:
Robert Allen Bartlett is a practicing alchemist, chemist, and author whose lifelong devotion to the Art began in childhood, when his early fascination with geology and natural science led him to build a home laboratory at just nine years old. By twelve, he was studying classical alchemical texts, setting the course for a life dedicated to bridging ancient wisdom and modern science. He later trained intensively under Frater Albertus at the Paracelsus Research Society, combining hands-on botanical and mineral research with formal academic study, ultimately earning a degree in chemistry and serving as Chief Chemist at Paralab, where he developed mineral and metallic preparations rooted in both Western and Eastern alchemical traditions.

Blending laboratory precision with philosophical depth, Robert went on to work as a research scientist and department manager in advanced materials testing, refining alchemical processes with modern instrumentation while continuing his private practice and teaching. Now based in the Pacific Northwest, he has shared practical alchemy through classes and workshops for over two decades, guiding students in bringing this ancient art into contemporary life with clarity, rigor, and reverence. Robert offers classes through an online school and hosts ‘in person’ intensives at his home in Snohomish, WA.
