On December 9 & 10 the Punk Rock Flea Market crashes into the former Red Apple at 23rd and Jackson in Seattle’s Central District. It’s big, bright and well known as a place to get your shopping freak well satisfied.
A truly staggering assortment of 150 vendors will be selling pretty much EVERYTHING. There is no limit. If they got their grimy hands on it, they can sell it. Big things, small things, clothes, music, crafts, art, food, sneakers, skateboards, bondage gear, prosthetic limbs, bike parts, graffiti supplies, snake oil, droids.
It all goes takes place Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 – the cusp of Hannukah week and a mere 15 days before we celebrate the joy of Kwanzaa and the birth of everyone’s favorite baby god. The market is open on Saturday from noon to 10:00 PM, and on Sunday from noon to 5:00 PM. The PRFM remains an ALL AGES event. Bring the kids, bring Grandma, bring the whole damn crew. And did we mention that it’s still just ONE DOLLAR to get in? What have you got to lose?!?
As always, the PRFM supports our friends the Low Income Housing Institute, aka. LIHI. LIHI is a non-profit organization that provides homes for homeless and low-income people all around the Puget Sound, and is currently leading the effort to build tiny self –contained houses for homeless people and families around our region. Once expenses are covered, all additional proceeds go to LIHI. More info about them atwww.lihi.org.
