Cascarilla

Cascarilla is a sacred white powder traditionally made from finely ground eggshells. It is a highly regarded substance worked with for protection, purification, and spiritual clarity. In many Afro-Caribbean and folk spiritual practices, it is worked to cleanse negativity, seal energetic boundaries, and create a psychic barrier against harmful influences.

Commonly used in rituals for protection and cleansing, Cascarilla may be sprinkled around doorways and windows, added to floor washes, or dusted in the corners of a room to establish a protective perimeter. It is also applied to the skin often in small crosses, sigils, to mark and purify the body before and after ceremony. In spiritual baths, it is blended with herbs and other ingredients to remove crossed conditions and lingering negativity.
