Rose of Jericho

The Rose of Jericho is also known as the resurrection plant because it can be kept dry (dormant) for years and then later unfurl into a rosette when water is added. It’s worked with magically in many cultures due to its ability to seemingly come back to life after death. Worked with for prosperity and birth and withering. Add a few (5) coins or a peice of pyrite to the center (do not use pennies as they have a negative impact on the plant) to the draw money and prosperity towards you, your home or your business.

Directions:
Place dried ball into a shallow dish and water just enough to allow to absorb water and unfurl. It’s good practice to make a pact with your plant to ‘feed’ it at certain times ofd the month. For instance promise to feed it every full moon if it brings you whatever you request of it. Remember this is a relationship you are building with a plant spirit/daemon.

In Hoodoo, one tradition is to  on Friday’s and read Psalms or pray your intention into the flower while doing so. Do not over water or you will drown the plant and cause mold. You may also sprinkle the water on your money altar or around your house for blessings and prosperity. May use a bit of Florida water in the water or directly on it from time to time to assist in mold prevention.
