Venus Picatrix – Suffumigation #2 For Love

This potent incense blend was created during a 2 year research project specifically regarding the incense formularies found in the The Picatrix (or Ghāyat al-Ḥakīm, ‘The Goal of the Wise’ or ‘The Aim of the Sage’), a thousand-year old Arabic grimoire that combines over 220 magical texts, and unearthing some discrepancies in the formularies in its various translations. During this project Catamara confirmed and validated the ingredients and recreated a few of the formula’s during auspicious elections that were occurring at that time of the research project.

The culmination of this work resulted in the creation of 2 Venus incenses and 2 Jupiter incense talismans. As well an article about this research was written, which can be found in Clavis Journal V4, the Green Key Edition. This book is also available for purchase in our bookstore.

Nearly six years since its creation, this Venus Picatrix incense has cured and aged to aromatic perfection and is now ready to become available to the practitioner. This incense was created while Venus was in Taurus during the Venus day and hour, while the Moon was sextile Venus in Cancer.
